Zusammenfassung
In this paper an analog terrain model is presented to simulate different hydrogeological formations. It is useful in order to explain the concepts of piezometric and phreatic level, and helps to visualise some of its main geomechanical implications. We used a methacrylate urn and with the aid of clays, sand and gravel, we modelize a water tank under hydrostatic condition, an unconfined aquifer, the effect of the pore water pressure generated by a confined aquifer in the overlying layer, and a profile in which levels with different piezometric heights coexist. The models are simple to construct, and illustrate the importance of the piezometric levels in the terrain.
