Abstract
Sn-W primary mineralizations in the Navasfrias district are studied as a possible source of the alluvial gold that appears in several rivers and streams of the region. These mineralizations constitute a typical Sn-W deposit with associated sulphides, linked to the magmatic evolution of the Jalama granite. Primary gold is located in intragranitic quartz lodes with cassiterite, wolframite, arsenopyrite and others sulphides, in very scarce quantities and very small grains (<5 pm), deposited into cracks in arsenopyrite. On the other hand, arsenopyrite, as pyrite and chalcopyrite, contains important quantities (up to 5.000 ppm) of invisible gold, possibly as submicroscopic inclusions.
