Resumo

Cervical pregnancy is a rare and dangerous complication which occurs in approximately 0,1% of all ectopic pregnancies1,2. In this type of pregnancy, the amniotic sac is positioned anomalously within the cervical region of the uterus and may cause severe complications for the mother, mainly of hemorrhagic nature, which are potentially life-threatening. Our case deals with a patient who was diagnosed with having a cervical pregnancy after exhibiting massive genital bleeds. Following an emergency procedure of eco-guided curettage and suture of the cervical vessels, Mc Donald cervical cerclage was performed in order to halt the bleeding permanently.
