Resum

From a short analysis of the different factors which interfere on the death happening, a critical review of the interpretations given on the funeral rite in Cogotas I is hereby offered. This review leads us to conclude that there is a need of a modification in the methodological statements which are being applied to the study of the archaeological sites affected by this phenomenon.
