Résumé
This communication is only intended as a reflection on the meeting points between the approaches of the liberal doctrine and the social message contained in the Gospels, which are often presented as antagonistic. From this starting point is analyzed the infiltration of socialist ideas in the second half of the twentieth century taking advantage from the opening of the Second Vatican Council and how they tried to confuse what was called the "social doctrine of the Church" with the principles of the political left, away from the tenets of economic liberalism. Third, I will try in a simple way to explain some latent issues in the process of European integration, that relying on the free movement of goods, persons, services and capital has created an ever more regulated space with great contradictions that became over time an accelerator of the Great Depression, threatening even the European Union itself as a supranational entity, unless control further increase and reduce the area of freedom. At least, this is what is being said in different forums.
