Resumen
The mathematics education research community has recently been concerned with the scaling-up problem: the process of taking an instructional innovation that has proved effective in supporting students� learning in a small number of classrooms and reproducing that success in a large number of classrooms. In this document we characterize the notion of scaling-up, describe four projects of this type in mathematics education, identify the key elements common to those projects and reflect on the problem of designing and implementing this type of projects in a Latin-American country
