Abstract

This paper is aimed to study a very specific part of the lexicon contained in testimonies from Oña, the one which keeps a direct relationship with the type, and therefore content, of the document in which it is used. This affects a fraction of the words and is intended, firstly, as a descriptive analysis and, then, as a comparative study with the vocabulary found in other contemporary documentary collections. The purpose is to observe the coincidences or differences between the vocabulary from Oña and the one included in other contemporary documentary collections from adjacent areas.
