Resumen

The goal of this study is that of exploring the evaluation that members of a self-help association have of the most adequate sociosanitary needs which would allow a chronically mental ill patients (psychotic) to better integrate themselves in the community. Results show that: 1. With regard to the most appropriate residence for the patient, relatives favour a place where s/he may be under some type of supervision, on the other hand, patients favour staying with the family, and also a large number of them favour an autonomous life. 2. Psychosocial clubs and having a job are the sociosanitary resources which patients and relatives most demand, in fact they demand these resources even more than purely economic ones. 3. With regard to the need of giving patients medical help, relatives favour those services which are integrated in the community (Mental Health Centers and Day Centers)
