Abstract
Spanish plays a special role since it is the mother tongue of an important group of countries and also because it is the language of an important sector in the tourist and cultural industry. This explains why the economic value of the teaching of Spanish is higher than that of other languages and countries. The interest in learning Spanish is associated with the professional opportunities available to foreigners who study it and with the interest in the Spanish and Latin American Cultures.
