Abstract
The aquatic and higrophylous vegetation of Tormes river middle reach and their tributaries (Zurguén, Valmuza) is analyzed following the phytosociological method of the Zurich-Montpellier School. We show, in the particular case of the river Tormes, the impoverishment or disapearance of the several types of vegetation (e.g. Potametea Tüxen & Preising 1942) because of human activity, specially the water eutrophication. In the opposite sense, the communities belong to the order Phragmitetalia W. Koch 1926 em. Pignatti 1953 present a large expansion. Finally, we try to establish the dynamic models and the vegetation series.
