Abstract

The set of competencies required for full participation in a knowledge society (the digital literacy) is an ever-growing concern in the contemporary educative space. This article defends that Second/Foreign Language Teaching provides a relevant opportunity for the inclusion digital literacy in the classroom in both official and unofficial education systems. Moreover, the article shows how electronic literature can provide realias for both cyber communication learning and digital literary development. To do so, the article offers a selection of renowned works and a critical perspective on its potential educative use.
