Resumen

This paper addresses the importance of studies of sacred archeology. A study on the National Catholic Congress of Madrid in 1889 is also presented, which was organized following the patterns of the Libertas de León XIII encyclical and the models of congresses of Catholic nationals that had been organized in other countries. This meeting of 1889 wil be fundamental to sow the importance of preserving the patrimony of the Church and the need to create museums to house these pieces.
