Abstract

Here we provide an analysis of the educational importance of music in the continuous celebrations of the Modern Age in Spain. We will approach a type of artistic expression addressed to all kinds of audiences, through different examples and talking manifestations, among which carols and Te Deum genres stand out. Elements of great potential with an educational component are constantly repeated, and stand out as the focus of the celebration. They envelop the public in a flood of sensations that project certain ideas related to politics and religion, with a remarkable functional and pedagogical element particular to this type of event.
