We conclude that artistic works have great ability to communicate a particular conception of a concrete historical and social context. It is necessary to encode the information provided by the study and documentary analysis of the work of art by a semiotic structure that is capable of expressing such information. The artwork must be assessed from a multifaceted perspective. Multiple perspectives encompass these documentary needs to address the information obtained. Also, it can be concluded that the documentary analysis of the works of art can make a scientific study of the same. This documentary duly organized corpus provides a multidisciplinary approach that facilitates a better understanding of the work of art. Documentation and research are at the basis of much of the work of preservation, dissemination and management of the creative work and are an instrumental and scientific support for other scientific disciplines involved in the study. The documentary should provide tools to order the documentation and make it more accessible and easy interpretation and evaluation of the work of art. The documentary work is required for cataloging, preservation and dissemination of the work of art. It is also necessary in any phase of the artistic, including creation. The documentation is of great practical value in the management, use and dissemination by the artist of his own work (organization and participation in cultural / artistic).
