Resum

This paper presents an improvement of an indoor positioning algorithm previously developed by the authors. This algorithm obtains the position of several people whomove freely in an inhabited environment composed of different rooms. The algorithm takes into account computer vision positioning and WiFi positioning, combining the information from both systems to increase accuracy. The improvement proposed in this article refers to a limitation of the algorithm by which the number ofpeople detected by RGB-D sensors has to be equal to the number of people detected by WiFi. The improvement allows working with different number of people in each system, which can be common in scenarios where a user is not detected by one of the methods. Besides, the improvement also simplifies the method of placement of RGB-D sensors in the scenario.
