The beginnings of the European Union were clearly economic. But it has taken common directions in different fields, for example in education. Different countries have begun to reform the structure and organizations o their higher education to favour the construction of a. Spain has been active in the process. The LOU (University Law) shows how important is for the Spanish university to be a part of the European Higher Education Area. The calendar of the Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia foresees to begin with the new undergraduate studies in 2008. But for the Spanish university system to be part of the European Higher Education Area there several measures that need to be taken about the European Credit System, the structure of the studies, the Diploma Supplement, the promotion of mobility and the quality assurance. And that is why several decrees have been approved. This is the scenario where we would like to analyze the future of the Economic and Business studies.
