Abstract

Two small populations of Lathraea squamaria L., a rare parasitic specie, have been found in the middle-high Esla river bank (Crémenes, León, Spain) that are new records for León province (Spain). The structure, numeric composition and phenology of both populations are described. We have also studied the habitat and autoecology of the L. squamaria populations by the phytosociological method.
