Abstract
This paper focuses on identifying the entrepreneurial competences that are relevant to the management of talent and entrepreneurial success, with the aim of having a base to develop training actions for people who intend to start an entrepreneurial project. It is developed through 19 interviews and 2 discussion groups to a diverse sample of experts, managers and business coordinators of the Spanish territory. By means of the content analysis of the discursive material, we obtain a system of categories configured by a set of competency dimensions that the participants consider significant for the development of the career and the entrepreneurial success. These competences are mainly linked to the following dimensions: realistic and positive self-knowledge; interpersonal communication; Emotional self-control; adaptation to change; Proactivity to transform and learn; tolerance for frustration and strength in the face of adversity; creativity; knowledge of training and professional options; and planning of autonomous and entrepreneurial decision-making, resolving the conflict of undertaking from the assumption of responsible risks. These results also identify the learning that must be promoted through continuing education and training.
