Abstract

This research aims to study the difficulties of Chinese students in learning Spanish verbs, especially irregular and non-personal forms. At the same time, we intend to find out the causes and solutions to improve the teaching of these two aspects. First of all, we make a comparative analysis of Spanish verbs and Chinese verbs from different perspectives (classification, forms and uses of copulatives, forms of transitive and intransitive, etc.) in order to predict the possible difficulties of Chinese students learning Spanish verbs. Then, we analyze the oral questionnaire completed by 55 Chinese students in Salamanca to check the expected mistakes and find other issues in learning verbs. In addition, we design a grammar questionnaire to complete the results of oral questionnaire analysis, because students usually use the declarative present tense of common verbs. Therefore, the grammatical test is restored to obtain more extensive data on conjugations from other times. Finally, we analyze the study method of Chinese universities by using textbooks, and put forward some suggestions for didactics and some supplementary exercise templates according to the result of the research.
