In the conception of this doctoral thesis one can find the great aspiration to understand the globality of substantial change that occurs in a research process with Digital Communities. A methodology that is part of the transformation that society is undergoing, altering contexts, scenarios, roles, and exchange rules.The ultimate goal is to identify the keys of the Digital Community as a social research qualitative methodology, to provide guidance for future researchers through the different stages of development, and more importantly, to lay the foundations for the fundamental principles of the methodology: the development of the digital community identity and the development of the digital identity of the reporting subject...
