Resumen
The studies on ethics in Knowledge Organization are in constant development. An effective way of verifying their importance as a research subject is to examine their representation in databases. The present paper builds upon previous research developed by Martínez-Ávila et al. (2015) and analyzes the literature on the topic that is indexed by two databases widely used in Library & Information Science: KO Literature and Scopus. Our search for the terms "ethics" and "ethical" retrieved a total of 54 articles. Among the result we highlight the ISKO journal Knowledge Organization journal as the most frequent source and a group of 11 authors that stand out as the most productive ones. We also conducted a content analysis to identify the ethical values that are present in the corpus, the methodologies and theories that are used in the papers, and the main knowledge organization processes and tools of knowledge that object of research. In conclusion, we point out the KO Literature database as an effective database for the retrieval of documents on this topic, although still presenting some shortcomings.
