Resumen

Eleven georeferenced sites ofpalaeontological interest, representative of Upper Miocene deposits of Seville (Central Guadalquivir Basin, Spain) have been selected and assessed their scientific, educational and touristic-cultural values. The sites range among 410 to 770. Most of them are very rich in benthic macroforaminifers, mollusks, large echinoids, ichnofossils, cetaceans and sharks. Sites 5 and 7 also contain the stratotype of the proposed Andalusian stage in the ‘70s. Using geomathic tools, they can be viewed in free virtual globes, including virtual flight, that contain diagrams, photographs and informative sheets.
