Abstract

The scaenae frons from the theater of Clunia is nowadays presented as a rectilinear wall made of opus caementicium. A detailed analysis of this structure, as well as a series of architectonic and decorative remains found in archaeological excavations, report on the big monumental façade it constituted, given its dimensions and wealth of ornament
