Resum

The hegemonic role assigned to mass media in the 20th century has been recently threatened by the arrival of individual broadcasters that have used the Internet to acquire similar levels of influence to those enjoyed by many media professionals. This article describes the characteristics of the podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, one of the independent programs whose success questions the future validity of the standard formats and procedures used by TV and radio broadcasters to produce audiovisual information oriented to attract attention from active audiences.
