Con naturalidad. La enseñanza de los deportes por la naturaleza

Resumen

This paper propose a review of the most significant topics that stand between sports professionals (physical education teachers and coaches of outdoor sports) and their activities to produce a sincere and authentic contact with nature. We analyse four stereotypes: a) the outdoor sports as a paradigm of positive values education; b) the professional zeal of sophistication in the activities as a quality index; c) the necessary security in these sports involves vertical methods focused on technical teaching and d) nature is the stage and decor of these sports. It comes with a thought about the concept of outdoor sports, which literal translation in Spanish is “sports in nature”. Preposition “in” generates some conflict opinions because it is refereed to another kind of sports too. The authors put forward another concept which incorporate the nature like “raison d'être”. Finally, it explains the methodology which they have been organized their activities in recent years with. This methodology is based in the horizontal model and is inspired in the teaching games for understanding. It pretend to answer the stereotypes and to resolve the conflictive concept throws this methodology.
