Resumen

This article shows a research project was undertaken and developed through a survey from the students of the Degree in Journalism at Uva (Spain), whose main goal was to recognize the perceptions that college students had about gender equality, its manifestations and consequences. The survey results were analyzed quantitatively with the SPSS software, obtaining both descriptive and inferential statistical data. The results highlighted that the students said that the University is an equality environment, although female were more concerned about the influence of gender on their future careers as well as gender-based violence than their male classmate.
