Resumo

Taking as a starting point the relations that cinema establishes with reality, this work has as a porpuse to study the poetic inside in the own nature of its speech. The Mario Brenta’s films and writings weave a perfect corpus that responds to that poetic we are talking about. Arealism understood as an ethical attitude rather than aesthetic expression of a particular ideology. The results of this research bring us to the relation that this filmmaker establishes with his environment, from which emerges this poetic realism. Realism, Brenta tell us (2008), is not an aesthetic or style issue, it is a problem of semantic order.
