Abstract
The rise of Social Networks in everyday life has reached businesses. The Social Networks are revealed as a simple and low cost tool to stay in touch with customers, potential or not, to know their tastes, to compete with other companies, to build partnerships, to employ staff and a large etc. However, their use in certain sectors of activity is not as developed as in others, this is the case of Logistics and Transport. This paper aims to investigate this aspect, starts with some brief reflections on Logistics and Transport, and then to describe what Social Network is, their types, and the most relevant features. Finally, it discusses the use of Social Networks in the field of Logistics and Transport, thereby to try to determine what are the possible measures that allow the professionals in the sector to take full advantage offered by them in their businesses
