Resumen

This study has been conducted in the framework of applied neology, and its proposal is to address neological activity in the discourse of wellness tourism from three different perspectives: lexical immigration, interlingual transition, and intralingual word formation. Its methodology is based on Polguère’s (2008, in Sánchez Prieto 2011: 107) two last axes of linguistic variation, i.e. sociolectal and diachronic, with special attention to the language specifically used in wellness tourism. The practical purpose of the present paper is to identify new, non-lexicographically encodable units and to provide their translation in Spanish.
