Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze trunk range of movement (ROM) differences between para-athletes with different physical impairments and non disabled athletes. Six non-impaired subjects (NI), 7 with cerebral palsy (CP) and 9 with other physical impairment (OPI) took part on this study. A video analysis technique (2D) and limit of stability test were used for this aim and ROM differences between groups were analyzed in antero-posterior and medial-lateral axes. The results obtained in this study show significative differences (p < 0,05) between impaired (i.e., PC y OIF) and non-impaired participants. In addition, significant (p < 0,05) less ROM values were obtained for CP group.
