Zusammenfassung

Many of the Spanish beliefs and traditions related with death include the presence of animals, which play important roles. Specifically, some animals have been attributed the power to cause death, the ability to predict it, and at times they also participate in funeral rites. In this paper, the result of a bibliographical research, we present this interesting part of the cultural Spanish cultural heritage.
