Zusammenfassung

The Christian dogma of the Holy Trinity has produced, over the centuries, a rich iconography. However, one of its manifestations, the three-headed or three-faced Trinity (vultus trifrons) was considered heretical and was prohibited by the Catholic Church. The church of Santa Maria la Mayor of Fuentepelayo (Segovia), have one of the few representations of this kind preserved in Spain.
