Abstract
Pain and chronic diseases are some of the most common pathologies and have significant physical, psychological, social, and economic impacts. These conditions create the need for a new healthcare model for Disease Prevention and Health Promotion in which people assume control of their health by promoting self-care. So, E-health and apps are progressively taking on a key role in chronic pain management for both patients and healthcare professionals. The communication and technologies used for health present additional advantages to traditional treatments, but for this, they must fulfill a series of requirements.
