Resumen
The paper describes the development in quantitative and qualitative terms of an unevenaged mixed stand of fir, mountain pine and scotch pine in the Pyrenees of Lleida (Cerdanya, Natural Park of Cadí-Moixeró). Through the inventory data of the first and succesive Forest Management Plans and its comparation with the data collected in an intensive forest inventory in 1997, the stand evolution is described in terms of stand density, basal area and volume, as well as diameter distribution and the Liocourt constant (q). A positive development of the unevenaged structure can be shown by a simoultanously wood harvesting of about 3 m3/ha/year in average. At present the stand unevenaged structure is in equilibrium, shows high volume parameters and an unusual higher presence of animal species, specially of Picidae.
