Resumen

Intervals of the real line play an important role in the learning of several mathematical concepts. However, hardly any research about their teaching and learning processes has been done, eitherabout their representations. The results of the analysis of the conversion tasks among representationsof intervals proposed in textbooks are set out. The sample consists of 25 textbooks of grades 10 and11 related to LOE and LOMCE. Global tendencies which can affect the richness and variety oflearning opportunities of conversions given by textbooks have been detected, such as big differencesof the frequency of each conversion, the lack of conversions involving the verbal representation andthe abuse of algebraic and verbal expressions which promotes congruent conversions.
