Résumé

This study focuses on the analysis of the social dialogue system developed in the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León between the regional government and the most representative trade unions and business associations in the Community. Its origins and the normative milestones that have marked its future are exposed, revealing its positive results in social and economic terms, and betting, consequently, on its consolidation and improvement. In short, it is defended that it is an instrument of participation typical of an advanced democratic society through which it is favored that public policies are directed to the common welfare and, specially, to the most vulnerable people; or, in the terms of the Statute of Autonomy of this Community, by the clear conviction of considering social dialogue a «factor of social cohesion and economic progress».
