Resum

This article analizes the external action of the Basque Government in the United States between 1958 and 1963 (from the Political History point of view), and it pays attention to the Basque lobbying actions implemented by Pedro Beitia in Washington DC, one of the main Basque political leaders in-exile. Additionally, within the frame of the bilateral relations between the US Government and the Francoist Spain, which culmination point was the sign of the Hispanic-American agreements in 1953, it is tackled the study of the political management to avoid the renewal in 1963 and it is focused to the Basque political leaders’ attitude after this postponement.
