Résumé
The association between hypercholesterolemia and the use of statins with the appearance of and open angle primary glaucoma (OAPG) has been evaluated and there is an increased risk of OAPG with elevated serum cholesterol levels. It was also found that the use of statins decreased the risk of suffering from it, and that the longer the duration of use, the lower the risk of GPAA. However, its effect had never been evaluated after 5 years of treatment.
