Abstract
Using an everyday unpretentious situation, his lady’s cutting her hair, the poet composes a sonnet, a poem of circumstances, in which he idealizes such a humble event thanks to the materials of classical tradition, in which mortals’ hair is consecrated to the pagan gods or to eminent deceased personages.
