Zusammenfassung

This article analyzes Panama's relations with China and the United States, the two major world powers today. First, it reviews the relations that the Latin American country has maintained with China since the creation of Panama as a country, up to the change of diplomatic recognition in 2017, as well as the new relations with the People's Republic of China. Later an analysis of the challenges facing Panama in the context of its new diplomatic relations is presented. The following section reviews the historical relations between Panama and the United States, up to the present day, and analyzes the opportunities offered by the United States to Panama.
