Abstract
Continuing education must provide teachers with the necessary retraining to meet thenew needs demanded by contemporary society. Music teachers have specific training needs in order to develop their professional skills. This paper presents the courses organized by the CFIE of Avila for this sector during the last academic year 2020-2021. These courses were related to training in technological resources applied to education and in new active methodologies to enhance more experiential and participatory teaching-learning processes; both aspects are the most demanded topics to improve teachingpractices in the 21st century. The evaluation of the courses by the participants, the speakers and the CFIE advisors in charge of their organization and supervision has been very positive, especially highlighting the quality of the trainers, the good atmosphere during their development, the interest of the contents and the usefulness for their application in the classroom
