Abstract
Capitophorus formosartemisiae (Hemiptera, Aphididae, Aphidinae, Macrosiphini) is recorded for the first time in Argentina (Tucumán province) and in South America, and also for the first time hosted on Artemisia verlotiorum, an introduced plant to the continent. The morphological features of the collected apterous viviparous females are exposed, with graphic support.
