Abstract

Peer-to-peer methodology in education has become a powerful tool for promoting both interpersonal and purely linguistic competences. This study aims to analyse how, in the context of the e-TándemUVa Innovation Project, peer learning also strengthens ethno-socio-cultural and intercultural competence among students of different nationalities. For this, and starting from a theoretical introduction on the basis of peer to peer learning, we will analyze the technologies used in the project, such as videoconferences and cooperative documents in the cloud, and their contribution to improving learning. We will continue with an analysis of the use of co-evaluation among the tandem as feedback on learning progress. Finally, we will carry out a review of the materials used on the project and how they promote this competence, overcoming prejudices and stereotypes, developing, at the same time, intercultural pragmatics.
