Abstract
This article tries to demystify the subject of illness. It is important to know the other side, the hidden side of illness. It is precise to have a culture about the phenomenon of illness and the implication that it has with the character of the person who suffers it. From the perspective of Human Science, it is possible to analyze the psychosomatic component in the illness situation. Therefore, the recovery process has an interdisciplinary dimension that can not be forgotten. The patient’s personal history, his family and social context condition, in a way or another, both health and illness. Pedagogy intends to study illness as a special situation, providing reflection channels, and alternatives for intervention. From this point, Hospital Pedagogy takes on the educational action in general, which takes shape in the hospital classroom in particular. Although a general concept of illness is treated in this essay, it is possible to go more in depth about the subject of special education through the works we have included in references.
