Resum

The song, within the musical materials, constitutes one of the main resources used in the Early Childhood Education stage, transversally, in the different areas and with numerous pedagogical tasks andpurposes. However, it is not always easy to carry out an appropriate and adequate selection that adjusts to the evolving needs of boys and girls. Throughout our communication we will raise a series of reflections on the work in the classroom of the song and we will try to enunciate a series of criteria basedon which it would be desirable to make the choice of vocal pieces for use in the classroom. Likewise,to end our tour, we will briefly review the contributions made by audiovisual projects of great impactamong the smallest, such as Cantajuego, which are a great source of ideas for teachers of this stage.
