Abstract

Synonymies of two species described from specimens collected in Argentina are established: Aphis mulinicola syn. n. from the also Argentine species Aphis mulini, and Aphis mulguraeae syn. n. from the cosmopolitan species Aphis gossypii. Two species of Brachyunguis also described from Argentine specimens, are transferred to the genus Aphis: Aphis blanchardi comb. n. of Brachyunguis blanchardi and Aphis bahamondesi comb. n. from Brachyunguis bahamondesi. Alate viviparous and oviparous females and males of A. mulini are described and the life cycle of this species is established, it is holocyclic monoecicous.
