Calidad de vida: conceptos, características y aplicación del constructo

Resumen

Se presenta una revisión bibliográfica centrada en el modelo de Calidad de Vida (CV), definiendo el constructo, indagando en su evolución histórica, características relevantes, ámbitos de aplicación y las estrategias para aproximarse a él. Con esto se busca superar la ausencia de un análisis teórico general en el ámbito chileno respecto al tema, superando la mera concepción de CV como una aproximación que surge desde el ámbito médico. Como conclusiones se destaca el carácter objetivo y subjetivo del constructo, su naturaleza multidimensional, dependiente del ciclo vital, la cultura y los valores de los individuos, y la necesidad de estudiarlo desde metodologías plurales que permitan generalizar resultados, y a la vez, consigan acercarse a la realidad específica del sujeto.
