Resumen

Victoria Kent is one of the leading figures more emblematics in the penitenciary history of Spain, because she was the first woman in charge of the system and for the impact of her work in a world managed by and to men. The book analyzes in his historical context the short period of Victoria Kent’s mandate leading spanish prisons, that began in the 1931 and lasted scarcely one year, the measures that she motivates, her relationship with the penitenciary professionals and the end of her mandate, for which motivation there are important shadows.
