La digitalización en el examen del menor por el equipo psicosocial en los procesos de familia

The psychosocial team emerges as a highly relevant entity in family processes. This expert testimony entails the preparation of exhaustive reports that address the composition and interactions within a family unit. Despite its non-binding nature, it is notable in judicial practice how courts often consider and support the conclusions drawn from these professional reports. Their responsibilities are of utmost importance in marital disputes (including annulment, separation, divorce, measures related to common-law unions, and modifications of measures), as well as in cases opposing measures for the protection or adoption of minors. This study focuses on the inherent characteristics of the psychosocial team, its functions, and the criticisms it faces, particularly focusing on the examination conducted with minors. Indeed, the minor emerges as the central focus of psychosocial reports, and it is imperative to ensure a conducive and welcoming environment for conducting various interviews. In this context, this work delves into the analysis of how digitalization can enhance the performance of these teams, specifically exploring the use of video conferencing as a tool for conducting remote assessments of minors, thus minimizing the pressure and distress associated with their testimony.
