This research shows an experience aimed at achieving learning about prehistory and human evolution based on comprehension and emotion. To this end, the methodology "The monkey who did yoga" is designed for the collective construction of knowledge, which puts together yoga movements, simulation games and interrogative strategy. This methodological proposal seeks to strengthen the didactic transposition of prehistory and human evolution at an early age (6-9 years). The research was conducted by implementing the mixed method for the pedagogical field that allowed the analysis of the conceptions and perceptions of the target group of the sample, as well as of the information obtained from the participatory observation. The results of the implementation of "The monkey who did yoga" reveal achievements referring to prehistoric empathy, the comprehension of notions about prehistory and human evolution. The dialogical model achieved with this methodology is highlighted as well as the motivational and fun atmosphere achieved. This proposal is different from the traditional exhibition channels, both textual and iconographic, considering the need to reconceptualize the body and the movement in the teaching and learning processes of prehistory and human evolution.
